The lower deck provides 10 cabins with twin beds. Each cabin has nice view over the Southern Mekong in Laos. All cabins are fully equiped with air-conditioners and fans for optimum temperature control. Dressing tables and wardrobe are available for your unpacking. Every cabin includes private bathroom with hot shower and Western-style toilet to suit your need.

Upper Deck Cabins

The upper deck offers 2 cabins with twin beds. The cabins provide excellent view over the Mekong River in Laos. Each one is fully equiped with standard facilities, including air-conditioner with a fan for optimum temperature control, and private bathroom along with pleasant hot shower and Western-style toilet.

We meet at Sinouk Coffee House in Pakse center at 9:30 AM, then we pass through Route 13 via bus to the astounding PhaPheng waterfalls.
We will enjoy the tour at Khone PhaPheng Fall, which is considered to be the “Niagara of the East”. Next, we will continue to Nakasangpier by bus, travel to Don Khone Island via small boat, and enjoy the lunch at a local restaurant on river banks.
From here, we get to visit the remnants from French colonial period, like the old French railway, and the French colonial house. Then we take a stroll on the bridge connecting Det and Khone Islands. After the walk, we move on with our small boat through the 4,000 Islands to Vat Phou Cruise at Ban Dong Veuthong in Don Khong Island.
At 17:30 pm, we will guide you to your cabins as the boat starts to sail off. Enjoy dinner under the sunset. The cruise will moor at riverside for the night.

Breakfast onboard while we move on to Ban Deua Tia. You will visit this village and experience a part of the century-old traditional lifestyle, which is still preserved even now. You also get to visit local school and enjoy moments with the students.
After the visit, our cruise onward to the North of Mekong, pass Don Xai island and other small islands along the river archipelago.
We enjoy our lunch on board as our ship cruises on the Mekong. Our Vat Phou Cruise offered all meals by our kitchen, including the finest dishes of Laotian, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. All are nicely prepared and presented beautifully.
At late afternoon, we get off the ship and take a small walk to the hidden temple of Oum Muong through Tomo Village and the mysterious forest. Dinner onboard, afterward you are free to relax and enjoy your time.

Breakfast on board, cruise onward to Champassak to visit the famous Vat Phou ruins, which is an ancient temple complex built in the pre-Angkorian 10th century.
Later on, we will have one last meal on our cruise while moving on to the final destination. You will arrive at Pakse at about 4:00 PM at the afternoon via a long-tail boat. End of our cruise.
(There is a chance to catch the flight to Bangkok from Ubon Ratchathani in the same evening)

We meet at Sinouk Coffee House in Pakse center at 9:30 AM, then we guide you to our cruise via long-tail riverboat, for 2.5-hour journey to Champassak.
As you arrive at Vat Phou Cruise at noon, we lead you to your cabins for unpacking before our lunch onboard. Our Vat Phou Cruise offered all meals by our kitchen, including the finest dishes of Laotian, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. All are nicely prepared and presented beautifully.
At the afternoon, we will visit Vat Phou ruins, which is an ancient temple complex built in pre-Angkorian 10th century. You will be able to visit the museum near the ruins site, also remember to get to the highest temple of Vat Phou to take many fantastic pictures.
At night, we will return to Vat Phou Cruise and enjoy the sunset from the deck in this tropical land. Dinner onboard, the cruise will moor through the night, alongside with a remote Laos village.

Breakfast onboard as the ship sail off to Tomo Village. The village is just a few minutes walk from the mysterious temple Oum Muong, hidden in the forest. After the visit, we get back to the ship and continue to the South.
We have lunch onboard as the Vat Phou cruise get closer to the natural paradise of “4,000 Islands”. At late afternoon, we get off the cruise to have a walk to Ban Deua Tia, a small village with unchanged traditional lifestyle for centuries, you also get to visit a local school and enjoy moments with the students.
To end the day, we travel to the Northern tip of Don Khong which is the largest wild island among river islands here. At the evening, after dinner, you are free to relax and enjoy your time.

We enjoy breakfast onboard, while Vat Phou Cruise sails down the Mekong River to Ban Veuthong village. This will be the location where you get on a small boat to navigate through 4.000 Islands to Khone Island. What we will see are remnants from French colonial period like the old French railway, and the French colonial house. Then we walk on the bridge connecting Det and Khone Islands.
At noon, we’ll have lunch on Don Khone Island at a local restaurant on river banks. In the afternoon, you will visit Khone PhaPheng Fall, which is also considered to be the “Niagara of the East”. Afterward, we return to Pakse via bus, end of the tour.

1. Alteration of schedule and cruise itinerary
Though every effort will be made to ensure that the published itinerary is followed as closely as possible, given uncertain river and other local conditions, all schedules and itineraries maybe subject to alterations and delays at short notice.
2. Change point of embarkation and disembarkation
Should it prove difficult to embark or disembark passengers at the scheduled points, Vat Phou Cruise is not liable to bear any extra cost of transporting passengers to and from the revised point of joining the cruise or disembarking unless passengers or their agents have purchased a complete package tour which includes land services from us. Any reason for changing the points of embarkation or disembarkation cannot count as a reason for cancelling this contract.
3. Deposit
If a booking is made more than 65 days prior departure date, a 30% non-refundable deposit must be made at the time of booking. Balance must be made at least 65 days before departure.
If a booking is made less than 65 days prior departure date, full fare payment must be made within 48 hours.
*Certain special offers may require higher non-refundable deposits. These will be advised to you at the time of booking.
4. Cancellation by us
In the event that we are unable to provide cruise services to passengers with confirmed bookings or departures where occupancy is less than 3 cabins (6 people), Vat Phou Cruise reserves the rights to cancel the journey giving all passengers with confirmed bookings 30 days prior notice of this intention. An alternative cruise vessel (similar itinerary and ship category) or an alternative departure date will be offered subject to availability. Any surcharges or difference in cruise prices will be born or reimbursed by Vat Phou Cruise. If this alternative date or the alternative vessel is not acceptable to the passenger any down payments made for the cancelled cruise will be refunded. In the event that a passenger has cancelled and paid cancellation fees and Vat Phou Cruise subsequently cancels that departure then any cancellation fees (and down payment) will be refunded in full on the request of the passenger.
5. Cancellation by Customer
If you want to cancel your booking, you must inform us via fax or email. The followings cancellation charges will be applied:
Cancellations made 65 days or more before departure: 30% charge of total price
From 64 days and less till departure, no show: 100% charge of total price
*In the event of cancellations, wire fees and credit card commissions will be deducted when calculating refunds.
6. Children Price & Extra Bed
Infants below the age of 2 years may sleep in their parent's cabin without extra charge but Vat Phou Cruise cannot guarantee the availability of a cot.
Child age 2-12 years old discounted 50% when sharing room with parents.
7. Insurance
We strongly advise travelers to purchase trip cancellation insurance. In this case, guests will be reimbursed the cost of air tickets and other non-refundable trip payments. We also highly recommend guests to get international medical, baggage loss and delay insurance in the case of bad situations. Vat Phou Cruise will take no responsibility for lost or stolen personal belongings.
8. Dietary needs
For travelers with special dietary needs, they should contact with us at least 30 days prior to embarkation. The cruise liner will make the outmost effort to provide special dietary needs and requests basing on product’s availability.
9. Travelers’ responsibilities
All the travelers taking the cruise should take responsibilities towards their fellow passengers and the crew of the ship. Travelers should review the conditions of the trip itinerary and have a proper social behavior with fellow passengers and crew members. They should observe all the safety requirements on board and on excursions.
