We took a 12 day holiday in which 7 nights were spent on the excellent La Marguerite Cruise. The bed was huge with king size but the platform was quite dark. The cabin was huge and the housekeepers were friendly who were ready to serve guest’s request. The rooms were always clean and airy thanks to housekeeping staff. The bathroom featured a spa bath.

The dining room was very comfortable and we had a great dinner time with our friends and other passengers. Meals were excellent and diverse with a wide range of options. We were very happy with wine and it was easy to find complimentary wines on board. Each night, there was a complimentary cocktail which was tasted.

The most impressive things were excursions which were truly interesting. The local guides were excellent. Anytime we got back to the ship, cold water was always available. The staffs were kind and helpful.

Spa service on board was great too. It was fantastic to gather at the communal area or in the pool with relaxing moments. Night life was a great time with trio and DJ and there were a lot of fun. We also had chance to enjoy performances of local artists for several nights.

We spent two nights in Siem Reap and it was very fantastic too. I recommended the Shinta Mani Resort which was fabulous. If you want to enjoy a long journey in a comfortable and well –organized way, La Marguerite will be a great choice. [Less -]

Our journey was fascinating with the start from Siem Reap and end at Sai Gon - Viet Nam. La Marguerite Cruise was well-organized carefully – researched destinations. Our Cambodian guide was excellent. He was so smiley and knowledgeable and helped us a lot during our excursion. The Vietnamese guides were great too.

The ship was elegant with large cabins. The food was fresh, well-prepared and delicious. During the trip, we met some great fellow passengers and had a great time with them at meal times and in the bar. The excursions and organization were well- managed and interesting.

The evening entertainment was ok in which we could learn about more things and had a relaxing time. The sun deck was the place we like most because we felt like we were living in a new land covered by all the sounds of nature.

We would like to give many thanks to the guides, the crew and the captain of the vessel. This cruise is highly- recommended for anyone. [Less -]

I have heard about the good reviews about this ship but I personally found it was a bit unsatisfied. Maybe the time we took the trip was on the bad time of the year when the water level on the Mekong River was low. It prevented us from getting on and off the boat easily.

I had an incident during an excursion which made me unable to walk. I had to stay on the sampan until the end of the excursion and we then head back to the ship. I could not take part in any excursion of the following days, instead, the hotel manager arranged for me to have a massage at the ship’s expense.

Another thing that I was quite disappointed that, according to the advertisement, drinks and cocktails were freely available but actually the cocktails were only available on special occasions.

As far as we known, the cabins offered a balcony, but unfortunately there was no balcony at any cabin. In fact, there was a door opened onto a shelf. The cabins were even very dark. The restaurant was great offering all tastes for guests and the staffs were friendly and helpful. There was also no entertainment after dinner, so we had to return to our cabin in boredom. [Less -]

I only knew about the ship until we reached our embarkation point. When being informed that the Mekong river was too low, we had to take a bus to another point. After 3 hours of running, our bus got an incident. Later, the problem was solved.

La Marguerite Cruise is a nice ship and we had an extremely spacious room with bathroom suite equipped with all necessary amenities. We had a great time in the two beautiful countries of Vietnam and Cambodia with excursions to rural areas. The cruise along the river was interesting too which we could witness the daily life of the locals.

The staff were excellent with careful service. They were so friendly and kind to cater our request. The food was fabulous with a variety of choices and quality. [Less -]
