Day 01 Siem Reap - Angkor (D)

Come to the pier of Siem Reap at 2:00 PM.

Get on board to Indochine Cruise. We have a welcoming onboard event and cocktail. You will be introduced to our crew members and unpack in the cabins. We have dinner on our cruise, night at anchor.

Day 02 Tonle Sap - Kampong Chhnang - Kampong Tralach (B/L/D)

We spend our morning on Indochine Cruise and have breakfast while crossing the lake. Afterward, we will arrive at Kampong Chhnang in the early afternoon. The town is 90 kilometers away from Phnom Penh. It is considered to be one of the biggest fishing ports in Tonle Sap, also there are many fish farms. In Khmer, the name Kampong Chhnang means “the port of the pottery”. And stay true to that name, the town is famous for its traditional pottery.

In addition, this “pottery business” contributes a great deal in the entire country’s economy. Before traveling to the floating village via local boats, remember to try out sugar from the signature Thnot sugar palm. Then we back to our cruise and continue our journey to Kampong Tralach. We have dinner on the cruise. Night at anchor.

Day 03 Kampong Tralach - Koh Chen - Phnom Penh (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the morning, we visit the Wat Kampong Tralach Leu Pagoda with the famed Vihara in Kampong Tralach. To get to the pagoda, we will need to travel via ‘ox-cow’ through a path alongside with the river and rice fields, through Kampong Tralach Village. The Vihara can be traced back to the last century’s beginning. In term of architecture, it has lots of impressive wall paintings, however, these paintings seem to deteriorate over time recently. Not many travelers visit this pagoda due to its isolated location in midst of rice fields. That said, it is the exact reason why the pagoda is an attractive site worth to be discovered.

After the morning trip, we have lunch on board and continue to Koh Chen. Koh Chen is a small village inhabited by silver-work and copper-work artisans. The place is special since it is where ornaments and decorations made for weddings and traditional ceremonies in the pagoda. Then we visit the village’s school. We back to Indochine Cruise and onward to Phnom Penh at late afternoon. After our arrival at the city, we will have a “tuk tuk” trip and discover significant monuments of Phnom Penh like the Royal Palace. We stay the night in Phnom Penh.

Day 04 Phnom Penh (B/L/D)

This capital city of Cambodia was founded in 1434. With its renovation of the old architecture design. Until now visitors can still feel its charm came from colonial period. We will visit Royal Palace which is the nation’s heart and also one of the best demonstrations of Cambodian architecture with classic Khmer design. Next on the list is the Silver Pagoda with 5000 silver tiles, the pagoda was built in 1892 and reformed in 1962.

Another destination is the National Museum harboring Fine Arts Museum. The French built this museum with traditional Khmer architecture in 1917. The building is popular for its beauty, typically the sublime statue of Jayavarman VII in meditation gesture. At noon, we enjoy our lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit a rather gruesome historical site which is Tuol Svay Prey S21 School. In the civil war, the Khmer Rouge used this location for detention, torture, and execution. After this, we have a free time in the local market filled with various trading activities. In the evening we enjoy dinner on Indochine Cruise while we move on to Vietnam through the night.

Day 05 Chau Doc - Sa Dec (B/L/D)

At the morning we have breakfast and spend the time on board. As we pass Vietnam border, we will finish customs and continue our cruise ride. Lunch served on the cruise, then we will arrive at Chau Doc at the early morning. This town lies between Cambodia and Vietnam and it belonged to Vietnamese since the 1710s. Lunchtime will be on board.

In the early afternoon, we will arrive at Chau Doc. The town is surrounded by both Mekong River’s banks, and located in the center of enormous rice fields. Chau Doc is well-developed based on farming and fishing. Walking around the place, we can still see the remnants of old colonial architecture. Also, it is a nice choice to visit the market, which is the active heart of the area.

Continue our journey to the top of Sam hill via minibus. Here, we can gaze at Phat Thay Tay Pagoda and the Ba Chua Xu Temple, which is also a perfect place to catch sight of the great Delta and the rice fields. Later on, we will travel through the floating-village by local boat. To end the day, we back to the Indochine Cruise and move onto Sa Dec. Dinner and night at anchor.

Day 06 Sa Dec - Vinh Long - Cai Be (B/L/D)

At early morning, we will have breakfast and get to visit Sa Dec, which is also called as Garden of the Cochin Chine during the colonial period. We will take a tour around the small town with several old mansions occupied in the colonial period. We will also discover local market, and interestingly, the old living place of Huynh Thuy Le, who was formerly the lover of Marguerite Duras – a French novelist who used to live in Sa Dec when she was a child. After the visit, we have lunch on board and onward to Vinh Long.

The town resides between two main paths of Mekong River in the middle of the Delta. Next, we travel through arroyos and gardens to Cai Be via small boats. This is the place where we can see bricks, pottery and chinaware, also see how the locals take care of fruit trees on Binh Hoa Phuoc’s island. For those who are interested in cuisine, you can see people practice a local traditional method of making rice pop corn, rice wafers used for spring rolls, rice alcohol and coconut sweets. In this land rich with alluvium, Vinh Long is where mandarins and oranges flourish with exceptional quality. Finally, we return to Indochine Cruise then move on. Dinner and night at anchor.

Day 07 My Tho - Saigon (B/L/D)

We will have breakfast on Indochine Cruise before our visit in near islands of My Tho via local boats. This place is well-known for its vast fruit orchards and vegetable gardens. Here also lies a coconut, banana mango and logan trees garden, which is the most abundant garden in Vietnam. Next, we get to islands nearby My Tho. Notably, we will take a visit in a beekeeping farm located on the largest island. Here we can try out the delicious honey and fruits. Later on, we return to Indochine Cruise, have lunch and continue to Ho Chi Minh City through Chao Gao Canal. Dinner and night on board in Ho Chi Minh City’s port.

Day 08 Saigon (B/L/D)

First, we will have breakfast. Then we take our tour in Ho Chi Minh City, which was formerly called as Saigon. This city was established in 1850 for French colonial purpose, nowadays you can still feel the French ambiance which formed the city. The city tour will let you visit Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Central Post Office. At noon, we have lunch on Indochine Cruise. At the afternoon, we discover a traditional lacquer-ware factory, then Ben Thanh market. Afterward, we back on board and enjoy the farewell cocktail and gala dinner. Stay the night in Ho Chi Minh City’s port.

Day 09 Saigon (B/L)

We have breakfast, then get off Indochine Cruise. We continue our morning in Cho Lon located at District 5 and 6 of Saigon. Originally, Cho Lon was a separate Chinese city from Saigon, later on, Cho Lon integrated with Saigon and now it is a Chinese Trading center of Ho Chi Minh. Next, we pay a visit at Thien Hau pagoda built to honor the goddess of the sea.

After the lunch: Our services end at approximately 2:00 PM. Flight won’t be provided before 18:00 PM.

Day 01 Saigon (L/D)

The schedule on this day will depend on your arrival in Saigon. if your arrival time is between 6 AM and 11 AM, then the schedule will be as following:

In Ho Chi Minh City, first we have lunch at Majestic hotel. Then we begin our Ho Chi Minh City tour. This city was established in 1850 for French colonial purpose, nowadays you can still feel the French ambience which formed the city. The city tour will let you visit Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office. At the end of the day, we have a welcoming dinner with cocktail on our Indochine Cruise, finally stay overnight on board in Saigon.

Day 02 Saigon (B/L/D)

At the morning, we have breakfast, then we visit Cho Lon located at District 5 and 6 of Saigon. INDOCHINE CRUISE POLICY

1. Alteration of schedule and cruise itinerary

Though every effort will be made to ensure that the published itinerary is followed as closely as possible, given uncertain river and other local conditions, all schedules and itineraries maybe subject to alterations and delays at short notice.

2. Change point of embarkation and disembarkation

Should it prove difficult to embark or disembark passengers at the scheduled points, RV Indochine Cruise is not liable to bear any extra cost of transporting passengers to and from the revised point of joining the cruise or disembarking unless passengers or their agents have purchased a complete package tour which includes land services from us. Any reason for changing the points of embarkation or disembarkation cannot count as a reason for cancelling this contract.

3. Deposit:

3.1. For booking with less than 02 cabins
30% deposit is required at the time of booking
70% of the balance shall be made 45 days prior to departure

3.2. For booking from 02 cabins and more
30% deposit is required at the time of booking
30% (second) payment by 125 days prior to departure
Balance 95 days prior to departure

4. Cancellation by us

In the event that we are unable to provide cruise services to passengers with confirmed bookings or departures where occupancy is less than 5 cabins, RV Indochine Cruise reserves the rights to cancel the journey giving all passengers with confirmed bookings 30 days prior notice of this intention. An alternative cruise vessel (similar itinerary and ship category) or an alternative departure date will be offered subject to availability. Any surcharges or difference in cruise prices will be born or reimbursed by RV Indochine Cruise. If this alternative date or the alternative vessel is not acceptable to the passenger any down payments made for the cancelled cruise will be refunded. In the event that a passenger has cancelled and paid cancellation fees and RV Indochine Cruise subsequently cancels that departure then any cancellation fees (and down payment) will be refunded in full on the request of the passenger.

5. Cancellation by Customer

If you want to cancel your booking, you must inform us via fax or email. The followings cancellation charges will be applied:

5.1. For booking with less than 02 cabins

Cancellations made 95 days or more before departure: 0% charge
Cancellations made 94 to 65 days prior to departure: 15% charge of total price
Cancellations made 64 to 35 days prior to departure: 35% charge of total price
Cancellations made 34 to 25 days prior to departure: 55% charge of total price
Cancellations made less than 25 days prior to departure or no show: 100% charge of total price

5.2. For booking from 02 cabins and more

Cancellations made 185 days or more before departure: 15% charge of total price
Cancellations made 184 to 125 days prior to departure: 35% charge of total price
Cancellations made 124 to 95 days prior to departure: 65% charge of total price
Cancellations made less than 95 days prior to departure or no show: 100% charge of total price

*In the event of cancellations, wire fees and credit card commissions will be deducted when calculating refunds.

6. Children Price & Extra Bed

Infants below the age of 4 years may sleep in their parent's cabin at no extra charge but we cannot guarantee the availability of a cot and parents are to provide their own baby food.
Children of 4 years and over must occupy their own berth and pay 30% of total cabin rate.

7. Insurance 

We strongly advise travelers to purchase trip cancellation insurance. In this case, guests will be reimbursed the cost of air tickets and other non-refundable trip payments. We also highly recommend guests to get international medical, baggage loss and delay insurance in the case of bad situations. RV Indochine Cruise will take no responsibility for lost or stolen personal belongings.

8. Health conditions 

Clients should seek advice from their doctor regarding relevant inoculations and prophylactics for travel in the Mekong Delta and must be fully insured to cover any risk of medical repatriation and RV Indochine Cruise is in no way responsible for such liabilities.

9. Dietary needs

For travelers with special dietary needs, they should contact with us at least 30 days prior to embarkation. The cruise liner will make the outmost effort to provide special dietary needs and requests basing on product’s availability.

10. Clients must abide by these terms and RV Indochine Cruise reserve the right to either cancel an existing reservation or to refuse passage in the event that these terms have not been adhered to.
