    Day 01 HO CHI MINH CITY - MY THO - CAI BE (L/D)

    On the first day of the journey, you will say goodbye to the hustle and bustle of the vibrant Saigon for departing to the new land of My Tho where you will embark the Jayavarman Cruise. Along the way, you will be served refreshing drinks and light lunch whilst sailing gently along the Mekong River. Take your time to soak in the sunset on the balcony. After a briefing at the lounge, enjoy a welcome dinner on board.

    Upon getting into Cai Be, Jayavarman Cruise will drop anchor for an overnight.

    Day 02 CAI BE - SA DEC - TAN CHAU (B/L/D)

    Welcome the new day with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Coffee and tea are available on the boat.

    Start your exciting journey with a visit to the bustling and colorful floating market of Cai Be. The traditional sampan will take you around the market to get a glimpse of a typical market of the region.

    Along the way back to Jayavarman Cruise, the cruise will stop at some places where you can witness the making process of rice paste, rice paper, rice cookies, rice pop, rice wine and coconut candies and the rustic local life along the canals.

    After lunch, the Jayavarman Cruise continues sailing to Sa Dec. Upon arrival, take a tour on a traditional sampan to explore an untouchable village in Binh Thanh Island where villagers are involved in making rattan mat. Do not miss the chance to interact with the locals to get to know more their daily life. Then, back to Jayavarman Cruise for a tranquil cruise towards Tan Chau.

    Day 03 TAN CHAU - BORDER CROSSING - PHNOM PENH (B/L/D)

    Energize your new day with a hearty breakfast at the luxurious Dining Hall. This morning, take a short excursion in Tan Chau where you can find an enormous community including Chinese, Kinh and Khmer.

    The first destination in your journey today is “evergreen” islands which are inviting you to learn more the local lifestyle. You may find it’s interesting that villagers here live on houses poised on high stilts which have become the tradition of this region for centuries ago.

    Make a stop in Tan Chau canal to visit a fish farm where villagers live in floating houses and live by feeding fish.

    After that, a boat will take you to Tan Chau pier. Disembark the boat and take a stroll around the colorful local market to explore its regional products. You will then head back to Jayavarman Cruise after the market visit.

    This morning, take a city tour of Phnom Penh to visit some famous highlights including the Killing Field – the reminder of the genocide and S21 Genocide Museum. Continue onto the magnificent Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda and appreciate the stunning Khmer craft at the National Museum. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

    Afterwards, take a cyclo to transfer back to the Jayavarman Cruise. Take your time to relax at your comfortable balcony or in the lounge before joining the evening event. There will be a variety of cocktails on the sundeck followed by a BBQ dinner. Along the way, you will witness the rustic charm of the river life on the river banks. Then, visit the rural Angkor Ban village which dates back hundred years ago. The houses here are truly rustic without the impact of modern life. You could even join the daily activities of the local villagers to experience firsthand their unique lifestyle.

    Day 03 Kampong Cham - Wat Hanchey (B/L/D)

    You will wake up early this morning to start your excursion to Wat Hanchey - the pre-Angkorian temple where you could get to the top by taking a motor taxi or climbing 303 steps. Once on the top of the hill overlooking the river, you will be amazed at stunning views over the region. This ancient structure was built in the 8th century famous for its magnificent architecture of the Chenla Empire. You could also get to know more the unique lifestyle of some of the monks in the area. Later, head back to Jayavarman Cruise to see the blessing ceremony performed by local monks.

    After lunch, Jayavarman Cruise will then cruise to Kampong Cham where you will visit Wat Nokor to explore its timeless story followed by a visit to OBT project of Heritage Line and organization for Basic Training. Overnight on board in Kampong Cham.

    After a hearty breakfast on board, take a short excursion in Tan Chau - the fish sanctuary of Vietnam. This border town is home to the different communities of Chinese, Kinh and Khmer. Set off your journey with a traditional vehicle to visit a local market. Then, embark a local boat to visit the fish farm and head back to Jayavarman Cruise. Along the way, you will get a real taste of local life in the Mekong.

    After lunch on board, continue your trip to My An Hung village. Take a walk through the lush vegetable garden to get to a family house. You will then cross a monkey bridge and witness vegetable fields.     Get ready to the new day with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck with tea and coffee served on board. After breakfast, there will be a comprehensive lecture on board to understand more about the modern history of Cambodia. Today, most of the time is spent sailing along the main Mekong Channel. At this session, you will see large ships running along this route.

    In the afternoon, you will arrive in the Vietnamese border. It will take some time to finish border crossing procedures. During this time, you could take chance to relax in the glow of sun on the sundeck, indulge yourself at the Spa or try your hands with a cooking class. Overnight on board in Tan Chau.

    Day 06 Tan Chau - My An Hung - Sa Dec (B/L/D)

    After a hearty breakfast on board, take a short excursion in Tan Chau - the fish sanctuary of Vietnam. This border town is home to the different communities of Chinese, Kinh and Khmer. Set off your journey with a traditional vehicle to visit a local market. Then, embark a local boat to visit fish farm and head back to Jayavarman Cruise.

    In the afternoon, continue your trip to My An Hung village. Take a walk through the lush vegetable garden to get to a family house. You will then cross a monkey bridge and witness vegetable fields. Afterwards, gather at the family house to relax with a cup of tea and local delicacies and fruits and back to the Jayavarman Cruise for a cruise to Sa Dec. Overnight in Sa Dec.

As cruising through the narrow canals, you will witness firsthand the breathtaking landscapes along the river and the rustic life on the Mekong Delta.

    Nestled on the mighty Mekong River, the islands still remain unknown to many people. You may find it interesting to see the exciting making process of rice paste, rice cookies and coconut candies. After stunning experience, re-embark Jayavarman Cruise to enjoy the tranquillity of the evening cruise to My Tho. This evening, there will be a farewell party on the terrace deck.     Day 01 SIEM REAP - KAMPONG CHAM - KAMPONG CHHNANG (L/D)

    At around noon, you will gather at the meeting point and then transfer to Jayavarman Cruise. Upon embarking our ship, you will get a warm welcome of our smiling crew. Enjoy a refreshing drink followed by a buffet lunch on Jayavarman Cruise.

    In the afternoon, Jayavarman Cruise continues cruising through a languid meander along the Tonle Sap River where you can even be greeted by kids from the banks.

    Afterwards, a short bus trip will take you to visit the pottery in Khmer style. You will then make the way to the wetlands to explore floating houses and fish farms in the region. You also have a great opportunity to join an Ox cart rally and get to know more about the Heritage Line pro bono “literacy project”.

    Try to wake up early in this morning to join our exciting land journey to Wat Hanchey, a pre-Angkorian temple. Upon reaching the top of the hill, you will be amazed by the breathtaking views over the river and the mighty Angkor temple complex.

    You will also be impressive with the stories of some of the monks in the area. After exploring the temple, head back to Jayavarman Cruise to witness the blessing ceremony of the local monks.

Once known as the Paris of the East, Phnom Penh remains a rustic yet elegant city in spite of the rapid development. 

    The morning sightseeing includes a visit of the sparkling edifice of Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum with an exclusive collection of Khmer craft. 

    Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Then, head out to visit the historical sites of the Genocide Museum and the Killing Field in town. Learn more about the country’s history during the Khmer Rouge regime. 

    Back on board for a rest at your private balcony or in the lounge and get ready for an exciting evening event. Grab a refreshing cocktail on the sundeck while enjoying the graceful Apsara dance performance. Dining in the open air with a fabulous barbeque will be a truly marvelous experience.

    On the first day of the journey, you will say goodbye to the hustle and bustle of the vibrant Saigon for departing to the new land of My Tho where you will embark the Jayavarman Cruise. Along the way, you will be served refreshing drinks and light lunch whilst sailing gently along the Mekong River. Take your time to soak in the sunset on the balcony. Make a stop in Tan Chau canal to visit a fish farm where you can encounter different kinds of fish. After that, a boat will take you to Tan Chau pier. Along the way, Jayavarman Cruise will pass by peaceful villages along the Mekong River and shift boats with gentle fishermen.

    Upon arriving in the rural Angkor Ban village, take a tour around the village to explore the stamps still living with time. Visiting the village, you may feel you are brought back to an era when there was no impact of the modern life. The houses here are authentic and rustic which are made totally by hand. 

    If you wish, you could join the daily activities of the villagers here to experience the rural life by your own. Afterwards, transfer back to Jayavarman Cruise for a cruise to Kampong Cham.

    Upon approaching, a minivan will take you to the Aundaung Russey village where you can see pottery in Khmer style. Return to the river for an interesting motorboat excursion to the wetlands to discover floating houses and fish farms in the region.

    After the excursion, transfer back to the Jayavarman Cruise for lunch and cruising to the Tonle Sap River.

    In the evening, after a sumptuous dinner, you will have a great time with our staff to learn to jiggle the Cambodian way.

    You will cross the Tonle Lake at 9.00 am, disembark the Jayavarman Cruise at the Siem Reap Port and transfer to the drop off point in town.

    JAYAVARMAN CRUISE POLICY

    1. Alteration of schedule and cruise itinerary

    Though every effort will be made to ensure that the published itinerary is followed as closely as possible, given uncertain river and other local conditions, all schedules and itineraries maybe subject to alterations and delays at short notice.

    2. Change point of embarkation and disembarkation

    Should it prove difficult to embark or disembark passengers at the scheduled points, RV Jayavarman Cruise is not liable to bear any extra cost of transporting passengers to and from the revised point of joining the cruise or disembarking unless passengers or their agents have purchased a complete package tour which includes land services from us. Any reason for changing the points of embarkation or disembarkation cannot count as a reason for cancelling this contract.

    3. Fuel surcharge

    Within the ticket price fuel costs have been calculated on average prices as of the publication of this document. Should fuel prices rise by more than 10% the company will be entitled to impose a fuel supplement equivalent to the amount by which the fuel price exceeds the price allowed for in the contract.

    4. Deposit

    4.1. For booking with less than 10 cabins

    If a booking is made more than 95 days prior departure date, a 30% non-refundable deposit must be made at the time of booking. Balance must be made at least 70 days before departure.

    If a booking is made less than 95 days but more than 35 days prior departure date, a 75% non-refundable deposit must be made at the time of booking. Balance must be made at least 35 days before departure.

    If a booking is made less than 35 days prior departure date, full fare payment must be made within 48 hours.

    4.2. For booking from 10 cabins and more

    If a booking is made more than 155 days prior departure date, a 30% non-refundable deposit must be made at the time of booking. The 30% (second) payment is made 95 days prior departure. Balance must be made at least 70 days before departure.

    If a booking is made less than 155 days but more than 95 days prior departure date, a 30% non-refundable deposit must be made at the time of booking. The 30% (second) payment is made 95 days prior departure. Balance must be made at least 70 days before departure.

    If a booking is made less than 95 days of departure date, a 75% non-refundable deposit must be made at the time of booking. Balance must be made at least 70 days before departure.

    5. Cancellation by us

    In the event that we are unable to provide cruise services to passengers with confirmed bookings or departures where occupancy is less than 5 cabins, RV Jayavarman Cruise reserves the rights to cancel the journey giving all passengers with confirmed bookings 30 days prior notice of this intention. An alternative cruise vessel (similar itinerary and ship category) or an alternative departure date will be offered subject to availability. Any surcharges or difference in cruise prices will be born or reimbursed by RV Jayavarman Cruise. If this alternative date or the alternative vessel is not acceptable to the passenger any down payments made for the cancelled cruise will be refunded. In the event that a passenger has cancelled and paid cancellation fees and RV Jayavarman Cruise subsequently cancels that departure then any cancellation fees (and down payment) will be refunded in full on the request of the passenger.

    6. Cancellation by Customer

    If you want to cancel your booking, you must inform us via fax or email. The followings cancellation charges will be applied:

    6.1. For booking with less than 10 cabins

    Cancellations made 70 days or more before departure: 30% charge of total price

    Cancellations made 50 to 69 days prior to departure: 50% charge of total price

    Cancellations made 35 to 49 days prior to departure: 75% charge of total price

    Cancellations made less than 35 days prior to departure: 100% charge of total price

    6.2. For booking from 10 cabins and more

    Cancellations made 90 days or more before departure: 30% charge of total price

    Cancellations made 65 to 89 days prior to departure: 50% charge of total price

    Cancellations made 35 to 64 days prior to departure: 75% charge of total price

    Cancellations made less than 35 days prior to departure: 100% charge of total price

    *In the event of cancellations, wire fees and credit card commissions will be deducted when calculating refunds.

    7. Children Price & Extra Bed

    Infants below the age of 5 years may sleep in their parent's cabin without extra charge but RV Jayavarman Cruise cannot guarantee the availability of a cot. 

    8. Insurance

    We strongly advise travelers to purchase trip cancellation insurance. In this case, guests will be reimbursed the cost of air tickets and other non-refundable trip payments. We also highly recommend guests to get international medical, baggage loss and delay insurance in the case of bad situations. RV Jayavarman Cruise will take no responsibility for lost or stolen personal belongings.

    9. Dietary needs

    For travelers with special dietary needs, they should contact with us at least 30 days prior to embarkation. The cruise liner will make the outmost effort to provide special dietary needs and requests basing on product’s availability.

    10. Travelers’ responsibilities

    All the travelers taking the cruise should take responsibilities towards their fellow passengers and the crew of the Jayavarman Cruise. Travelers should review the conditions of the trip itinerary and have a proper social behavior with fellow passengers and crew members. They should observe all the safety requirements on board and on excursions.

    Jayavarman Cruise, Heritage Line - a brilliant week from Ho Chi Minh to Siem Reap

    In my opinion, Jayavarman is a fantastic cruise on Mekong River. My cabin had comfy bed, spacious bathroom with showers. All the staffs were attentive and remembered every passenger's name.
