Day 01 Embarkation – Siem Reap – PrekK’dam (L/D)

High water program: Sep - Dec

Register between 11:00 - 12:00 at Le Meridien Angkor, enjoy a coach transfer to the local jetty and take a motorboat ride through Tonle Sap Lake to the vessel. Take your time to enjoy scenic views of floating fishing villages.

Upon embarking the Amalotus Cruise, you will be greeted with a welcome drink in Saigon Lounge. After a short briefing, enjoy lunch in the Mekong restaurant while the ship cruises towards Kampong Chhnang. Take in the stunning views of wild lives along the way as passing by floating villages.

After a safety demonstration and briefing at Saigon Lounge, enjoy cocktails followed by the first gourmet dinner onboard with your fellow passengers. Overnight onboard at Kampong Chhnang.

Low water program: Jun - Aug & Jan - Apr

Register between 7:00 – 7:45 at Le Meridien Angkor, take a coach to 5 hours and a half to PrekK’dam. Along the way, make a stop at Kampong Thom. Upon arrival in PrekK'dam, board the ship for a short briefing and welcome drink in Saigon Lounge.

Lunch will be served in the Mekong restaurant. After lunch, check into your cabin for relaxing while the ship sets sail to Kampong Chnang province. After the safety briefing at Saigon Lounge, enjoy the Captain’s Cocktails followed by the first dinner with your fellow passengers. Take your time to relax with the performance of the pianist in Saigon Lounge. Overnight onboard at midstream in Tonle River.

Day 02 Kampong Chhnang – Kampong Tralach – Oudong (B/L/D)

Amalotus Cruise will moor at midstream in Kampong Chhnang – a busy port town with colorful local markets. Board a motorboat for an impressive excursion into the lakeside wetlands where you get a wonderful opportunity to witness a variety birdlife and stunning floating village. Back to the ship and make the way to Kampong Tralach. Join a lecture about Cambodia onboard to learn more about this beautiful country.

The ship will drop anchor at Kampong Tralach. In the afternoon, take a 20-minute ox – cart ride from the river banks. Travelling on a dusty road through the countryside, a small village and paddy fields, you will get a true insight into the local life. Make a stop at Vihara to visit Wat Kapong Tralach Pleu. After visiting the pagoda, take a bus ride to Oudong.

Oudong was once the capital of Cambodia constructed on the top of Phnom Oudong which is covered with a range of stupas and shrines.

You will join the guide to the Buddhist monastery at the foot hill to learn more about the local religion. You also visit Buddhist meditation center and take part in the Buddhist blessing ceremony.

Afterwards, transfer back by bus to PrekK’dam to re-join the ship which will then sail towards the small village of Chong Koh. After dinner, learn more about the Cambodia’s history with the movie show “Killing Fields”. Overnight onboard at midstream near Chong Koh.

Day 03 Chong Koh – Phnom Penh (B/L/D)

After breakfast, take a morning walk to visit Chong Koh silk weaving village. After the visit, head back to Amalotus Cruise for a cruise towards Phnom Penh – the capital of Cambodia.

Over the time, Phnom Penh still retains its charm with French style through the spectacular wats such as WatOunalom, Wat Phnom and Wat Lang Ka. In addition, there are some places that display the artifacts embodying the brilliance of Khmer culture.

In the afternoon, get an orientation of the downtown of Phnom Penh with a walking tour. Back to the board for cocktails and briefing followed by dinner. Enjoy your time with a special Khmer folk performance at Saigon Lounge. After that, spend some time exploring the nightlife of the city by yourself.

Day 04 Phnom Penh (B/L/D)

There are many interesting sightseeing and activities await in your excursion today. Your morning trip will start with a sightseeing tour by bus in Phnom Penh. The highlights of the trip include Royal Palace, the outstanding Silver Pagoda and the National Museum where stunning Khmer crafts are on display.

In the afternoon, you will get a great chance to learn more about the history of Cambodia with a visit to the Khmer Rouge’s grim Toul Sleng (S21 detention center) and the Killing Field. For a free and easy tour, you could take time for some shopping or enjoy a tour around the city.

Enjoy a cocktail on board followed by a dinner. After dinner, relax with the Khmer folk dances and songs at the Saigon Lounge.

You could also have relaxing moments in one of the bars located just opposite the dock before heading back to your cabin. Overnight onboard at Phnom Penh port.

Day 05 Phnom Penh - Border Crossing - Tan Chau (B/L/D)

After a fabulous breakfast, the ship makes its ways towards the border. Amalotus Cruise will cruise along the major Mekong channel.

The morning is at your leisure. In the afternoon, partake in a Cooking Class at Saigon Lounge for more knowledge about Vietnamese cuisine.

The ship will arrive in Tan Chau – a small town on the Mekong River. After dinner, enjoy the crew show in Saigon Lounge. Overnight onboard at the river bank.

Day 06 Tan Chau – Sa Dec (B/L/D)

Your excursion today will be spent exploring the untouched town of Tan Chau.

Start your morning journey with a cruise on local boats for sightseeing. Meander along the narrow channels to explore an evergreen island. Take your chance to visit a floating fish farm and cruise along the tiny tributaries to appreciate the stunning stilt houses. Afterwards, go ashore for an amazing tour by rickshaw around the town. Make a stop to visit a rattan mats and slippers making factories to have first- hand experience.

In the afternoon, the ship will cruise downstream to the small town of Sa Dec. Learn more about Vietnam through a lecture on board.

Enjoy cocktails and briefing at Saigon Lounge. After dinner, enjoy the Mekong folklore performance in the Saigon Lounge. Overnight onboard at midstream in Sa Dec.

Day 07 Sa Dec – Xeo Quyt – Cai Be (B/L/D)

After breakfast, embark a local boat through the river’s channels and pass by floating markets to Sa Dec. Upon arrival, disembark the boat and take a tour around Sa Dec – a small hometown of Marguerite Duras’ lover. Stroll around a local market and visit the house of Huynh Thuy Le.

After the visit, enjoy a bus ride for 1 hour to Xeo Quyt to learn more about the importance of the site in the past and at present. You will then re –join the ship in Cai Be for lunch. Afterwards, take an excursion with a local boat around Cai Be to discover the fascinating lifestyle of the locals through a floating market. Disembark the boat for a visit to the rice paper and coconut candy workshops. You also have a great chance to visit a typical old house in the Mekong Delta and a short walk through a big garden. 

Back to the Amalotus Cruise for Farewell cocktail followed by a Farewell Dinner. Overnight onboard at midstream near Cai Be.

Day 08 Disembarkation - My Tho - Saigon (B)

Day 01 Saigon - My Tho - Cai Be (L/D)

From Sheraton Hotel Saigon, enjoy a coach transfer to My Tho port where you will embark on the luxurious ship for a cruise along the Mekong Delta. Upon boarding Amalotus Cruise, enjoy welcome drinks in Saigon Lounge followed by a short briefing and then a lunch in Mekong restaurant.

After lunch, check into your cabin and relax while the ship is making its way towards Cai Be – one of the cities on the Mekong River. You will receive the safety demonstration and briefing of the Cruise Director at Saigon Lounge before enjoying Captain’s Cocktails. Afterwards, it’s time for your first gourmet dinner with your fellow passengers. Take your time to relax with the folk performance of the Mekong Delta. Overnight onboard at midstream in Cai Be.

Day 02 Cai Be – Vinh Long – Sa Dec (B/L/D)

After breakfast, take an excursion around Cai Be to discover the fascinating lifestyle of the locals through a floating market. You will then go ashore to explore the hidden charm of the French Gothic Cathedral, colonial buildings, colorful flower gardens and rice paper manufacturers.

After the visit, head back to the ship for lunch as sailing towards Vinh Long – another city by the Mekong River. Pay a visit to the colorful afternoon market before enjoying a stunning boat ride around the region and taking a leisurely walk through the market for a true glimpse of life.

After cocktails and briefing, enjoy dinner in Mekong restaurant.

The Amalotus Cruise will then cruise to Sa Dec. Overnight onboard at the midstream near Sadec.

Day 03 Sa Dec - Tan Chau (B/L/D)

Today is spent exploring the quaint town of Sa Dec the hometown of Marguerite Duras’ lover. Pay a visit to Huynh Thuy Le ancient house and then traveling along the paved river bank to get an insight of local markets, pagoda and the Fujian Temple. Crossing the river banks, you will pass by the home of Marguerite Duras.

The rest of the day is at your leisure as cruising to Tan Chau. Take part in our lecture onboard to learn more about Vietnam. Upon arrival in Tan Chau – a town near the border with Cambodia, Amalotus Cruise will drop anchor at the bank of Tan Chau.

Enjoy dinner before joining the Crew Show in Saigon Lounge.

Learn more about the country of Cambodia with a lecture on board while cruising towards the PrekK’dam where your afternoon tour will start to Oudong.

After breakfast in the Mekong Restaurant, disembark the Amalotus Cruise at PrekK’dam. Take a bus driver for 5 hours and a half to Siem Reap. Along the way, make a stop at Kampong Thom. Arrive at Le Meridien Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap at around 13.30.

1. Cancellation by Customer:

Should you need to cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, the party leader must immediately advise us in writing sent to us via fax or email. The following cancellation charges will be applied:

46 days prior to departure: 30% cruise price

45 to 30 days prior to departure: 60% of cruise price

29 to 7 days prior to departure: 80% of cruise price

6 to 0 days prior to departure: 100% of cruise price

2. Children Price & Extra Bed:

Free of charge for infants below the age of 5 years, traveling with two guardians and sharing the same guardians’ bed. The company cannot guarantee the availability of a cot.

Children at/above 5 years and at/under 12 years traveling with two guardians pay 25% of double occupancy rate when sharing cabin with guardians. This policy is applied for Sadec suite category.

Children at/above 13 years must pay adult rates and will have their own bed allocated.

3. Shuttle Bus:

Pickup between 11:00 to 12:00 at Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel (upstream) or Le Meridien Angkor (downstream).
