Day 01 Mekong Delta - Saigon Embarkation (L/D)

Transfer to Saigon Port to meet the RV Mekong Princess Cruise. The friendly and professional staffs onboard will immediately show you their hospitality and your exciting trip will finally begin. Travel through the magnificent Mekong Delta, you will head toward the well-known Mekong River. Take time to lunch and view the beautiful landscape from the cruise as our crews serve you with the excellent meal. Afterward, you can rest in our special suites where you are free to rest for the upcoming trip. In the afternoon, the cruise will stop at the heart of Mekong Delta allowing passengers to contemplate the sun fading into the horizon. Dinner will be served with traditional and delectable Vietnamese meal besides cocktails or wine.

Day 02 BEN TRE - TRA ON (B/L/D)

Wake up in the peaceful Mekong Delta, sip a cup of tea or coffee to refresh yourselves.  

On this day, you will visit the local market and view the busy trading scene of the people as they carry regional products on a wooden boat. After breakfast, a sampan will await you to venture around through small canals and backwaters in Mekong Delta. 

Encounter numerous unique scenes on the way such as the Nipah Palm plantations, leave the sampan to visit the coconut candy-makers. This special candy is enjoyed through Vietnam and other South East Asia Countries. 

Slowly travel on a local path to reach a village where you have a chance to explore local customs. From the village, get on a "Tuk Tuk" used by the local and head to the plantations. It is high time you taste the delicious tropical fruits in the area like Dragonfruits or cool watermelon.

Board a local boat and return to the Mekong Princess, continue traveling to more remote locations in Mekong Delta region.

Lunch on the cruise while venturing through one of the most bustling trade routes in Southeast Asia

Your afternoon will be a special trip to a remote destination in which Phuoc Hau Pagoda located. Find out the creativity of local people through a number of products made from a floating plant in Mekong Delta called Water Hyacinth.

Day 03 CAN THO - THOT NOT (B/L/D)

Enjoy tea and coffee in the early morning.

Today, you will be taken to Cai Rang Floating Market in Can Tho, considered as one of the most iconic markets in Mekong Delta. Floating on the river and passengers will have a great number of times to take pictures of the fascinating landscape.

Next, the rice noodle factory is definitely a nice place to witness how one of the most popular ingredients in Vietnam is made. After a short excursion ashore passing Cai Rang Market, this authentic factory is free to discover.

Board a riverboat to head back the RV Mekong Princess for luncheon. Rest for a while and then continue travel by sampans to Thot Not Village.  Once you reach the village, travel on a "Lambro 555" to visit a special area where you can contemplate numerous exotic birds. Climb the steps to the higher ground and view the wonderful scenery and the habitat of many rare birds.

Day 04 HONG NGU - BORDER CROSSING (B/L/D)

On your final adventure on the great Mekong River, you will visit a local island village called Hong Ngu. Situated near the Vietnam - Cambodia border, Hong Ngu brings a traditional atmosphere to all visitors. The place famous for its Khmer scarves and hand-woven which are exported to Cambodia. Here, you are free to explore the art of making handmade products and decorating timber homes. These stilt houses are not only able to withstand the force of the flood but also beautifully decorated by the local artists.

People in Hong Ngu may not familiar with the presence of foreign visitors, but they also willing to show tourists their unique culture and customs. Coming to Hong Ngu, you will enter their sacred temple and discover Hoa Hao, a unique regional religion. After that, say goodbye to our friendly local and head back to Mekong Princess by a riverboat. Cruising into Cambodia and stop at our overnight destination. 

Sunset will be added with delicious cocktails before tasting the Western Oriental meal prepared for your dinner.

Day 01 SAIGON EMBARKATION (L/D)

Your exciting trip begins at Saigon Port where our crews waiting to welcome you on the RV Mekong Princess. Once setting foot on the cruise, the professional staffs will definitely make you comfortable immediately, then proceed to guide you on the Mekong Princess. 

On the way to the "Mighty Mekong River", a Lunch will be served with utmost hospitality while traveling on Saigon River. Afterward, visit your suites to rest and enjoy the beautiful view on the way until the afternoon.

Day 02 BEN TRE - TRA ON (B/L/D)

Early in the morning, you can wake up, breath the fresh air and enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee in the cabin.

Travel through the busy market in Mekong Delta region to witness the trading scenes of local people. Here, you will take a sampan and explore the small canals and backwaters after breakfast.

Passing the magnificent mangroves and Nipa Palm plantations, you will visit the unique coconut candy factory. Find out how this well-known product enjoying by Vietnamese is made and exported to other countries.

Relaxingly walking on a local path of nearby villages, it is possible to chat with villagers to know more about their life. After that, take a ride on a special transportation called "Tuk Tuk" to the plantations and head to local tropical fruit farms.

Try the exquisite taste of colorful Dragonfruit, the sweet and cool watermelons, lynches or the famous "Durian". Continue on a local riverboat to head back to Mekong Princess, and cruise to other locations on Mekong River.

Day 03 CAN THO - THOT NOT (B/L/D)

Enjoy tea and coffee in the morning.

Be ready for today, you may encounter a lot of photographic opportunities on the way. First, cruise to the amazing Cai Rang Market, one of the busiest floating market in Can Tho. Watch hundreds of boats passing by and carried iconic products in the region.

Begin your excursion on shore and then cruise through Cai Rang Floating Market to a rice noodle factory. Discover how the most enjoyed products in Vietnam is made in a very authentic way.

Take a river boat back to the Mekong Princess for Lunch.

Later this day, travel to Thot Not Village and have a ride on a "Lambro 555" through the village before arriving in a tropical bird sanctuary. Stroll to the viewing platform and set up your camera before capture the stunning view over the scenery and nesting places of numerous exotic birds.

Afterward, head back to the cruise by a boat for another cocktail at sunset and delicious dinner.

Entertainment will be organized on the cruise for today's night.

Day 04 GIENG ISLAND (B/L/D)

Enjoy tea and coffee in the morning.

In the morning, a local boat will take you to explore Gieng Island. Walking past the close village to watch up-close how the traditional sampan is made. Stroll along the canal and contemplate various beautiful scene on the way such as duck farms, monkey bridges, and tropical orchards. 

After that, board Xe Loi, a kind of motorized trishaw, to cross the island and finally visit an ancient Catholic Church built in the 1870s.

Day 05 HONG NGU - BORDER CROSSING (B/L/D)

Today, explore the very last interesting destinations in Mekong Delta before continue our trip in Cambodia. Visit Hong Ngu, only 15 kilometers from Cambodia, where you have a chance to witness the art of creating Khmer scarves. From the beginning of the weaving process till the end, it is possible to visit the local houses and record everything in your camera. Another highlight of the village include the decorations in local timber houses showing the creativity of several embroidery artists in the region.

Even though the local on Hong Ngu Island is not familiar with the sight of tourists, they are willing to welcome anyone who wishes to learn about their customs and culture. Visit a local temple to learn about the unique religion called Hoa Hao. 

We return by riverboat to the RV Mekong Princess, weigh anchor and cross the border into Cambodia, cruising onwards towards our overnight anchorage.

Return to Mekong Princess by boat, set sail and cross the border to Cambodia till our anchorage. 

Enjoy a glass of cocktails and the sunset while waiting for a meal of Western-Oriental cuisine prepared by the experienced cook.

Day 06 PHNOM PENH (B/L/D)

Have a hearty breakfast before taking a local cyclo to tour around the city of Phnom Penh. Start our trip along the river before arriving at the Royal Palace. Here, it is time for you to walk around at a relaxing pace and contemplate various famous locations. Encounter the grand Throne Hall and Moonlight Pavilion, continue to the second section until you meet the great stupas and spirit houses.  Finally, you have the chance to capture the beauty of the well-known Silver Pagoda, a masterpiece in Cambodia containing an Emerald Buddha, a Maitreya Buddha, and 900 diamonds.

Next, get on your cyclos and be taken to the National Museum. Here, you are presented with the greatest collection of Angkorian artifacts in the country. Enjoy the museum for the rest of the morning with numerous ancient items excavated from Angkor Archaeological Area in Siem Reap.  Return to the ship by cyclo or lunch in the authentic local restaurant, then visit unique markets and boutiques of the city.

Visit Choeung Ek in the afternoon via a private coach after passing through the outskirts of the city. Known as "The Killing Fields", this place is now a memorial reflecting the dark time in the history of the country. Next, you will have a chance to visit Tuol Sleng (S-21) which was formerly a school before being made into a prison by Khmer Rouge.

Finally, leaving the cruel past behind as you travel to a local orphanage to see the beautiful cultural dance like Apsara, Cambodia's national dance and folk dance.

Day 01 KAMPONG CHAM EMBARKATION (L/D)

On the first day, our motorcoach will take you from Siem Reap to Kampong Cham and you will embark RV Mekong Princess. Once you get on our RV, you will be impressed with the Vietnamese and Cambodian hospitality, before joining and beginning a fantastic journey.

Right after making yourself familiar, a hearty lunch will be served onboard. Afterward a lunch onboard, it is time for you to visit your suite where you rest until the end of our trip. Stay on the deck, you can freely relax and watch the significant scenery in the river.

Arrive in Angkor Ban in the late of the day, have cocktails and watch the sunset and sampan slowly flow on the river. Then, a traditional Cambodian dinner is served, which including a variety of dishes with many delicate flavors.

Day 02 ANGKOR BAN (B/L/D)

This day, we have a look at the town of Angkor Ban. We also have a chance to know how local people live by visiting a family’s home to observe their lifestyle. Wandering around the village, we visit a local school and have a chance to communicate with students and experience a day of being a student in rural Cambodia.

Day 03 PHNOM PENH (B/L/D)

Today, you will be transferred by local cyclo for a fascinating tour around Phnom Penh city, start with a ride through the river bank near Royal Palace. Stop and take a relaxing stroll, and you will have a chance to visit the Throne Hall and Moonlight Pavillion. Then, head to the next section of the complex, explore the ancient stupas and spirit house. Finally, it is high time you encounter the Silver Pagoda, known as the main symbols of Phnom Penh, covered with more than 9000 diamonds.

After a short break, we continue to the National Museum in which preserve the largest Angkorian legacy in Cambodia. Here, you can see a variety of ancient artifacts around the Angkor Archeological Area in Siem Reap and have detail exploration about this place. Finish the morning tour while we come back to the cyclo to move to the ship. If you want some more adventures, it is possible to have lunch at a local restaurant then maybe visit some well-known markets and boutiques

In the afternoon, the private air-conditioned coach will take us to the Choeung Ek, about 17 kilometers to the south of Phnom Penh. Known as the “ Killing Field”, the place that Khmer Rouge had killed million of citizens between 1975 and 1979. On the way to Phnom Penh, we stop at Tuol Sleng, also known as S-21, when we look outside, it actually a high school, but when we go inside, you can realize that this place is a prison made by Khmer Rouge.

Before dinner, you can join in the local orphanage cultural dancing performance such as Aspara, Cambodia’s national dance and traditional folk dances.

Day 04 BORDER CROSSING - HONG NGU (B/L/D)

This morning, our RV Mekong Princess will cross the border into Vietnam, and travel downstream to Hong Ngu.    

In the afternoon, you will be transferred by sampans to Hong Ngu Local Island, about 15 km from Vietnam-Cambodia border. Come to this destination, you can contemplate the most famous products in the region which traditional Khmer scarves. Here, you can also witness the hand-weaving process from the beginning till the end. Moreover, Hong Ngu is the home of many skilled embroidery artists who decorated local stilt houses. 

People live in Hong Ngu had rarely faced Western visitors, but their welcome is undoubtedly warm and friendly. Finally, you will have the chance to witness the unique religion called Hoa Hao in a local temple before returning to Mekong Princess.

Day 05 GIENG ISLAND - THOT NOT (B/L/D)

This morning, we will to Gieng Island by sampans. Wandering around the local sampans to visit local families and explore their proficiency in making sampans. Then, take a canal drive along the riverside to discover the wild floating area with duck farms, monkey bridges, and tropical orchards. Then, try the special local transportation named “Xe Loi” (motor trishaw) to venture to visit the ancient Catholic Church which was built in the 1870s.

In the afternoon, we come to Thot Not Village where you get on a “Lambro 555” to travel through the village. When you arrive at the village, you can hear the mixture of songs from a bird sanctuary. After a walk to the top of the sanctuary, you can have a panoramic view of this place, see the nesting place, and have a chance to take pictures of various exotic birds. Finish your day with a dinner and local entertainment show onboard.

Day 06 CAN THO - TRA ON (B/L/D)

Your sampan will take you to the Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the trading center in the region, near Can Tho early this morning. As the sampan travel around, you will encounter numerous wooden boats which carry and sell fruits and other daily life items. Wandering around the market, it is recommended that you capture the bustling trading scenes, or try the Vietnamese “anti-aging drink”, fresh tropical fruits. Afterward, we travel to a local factory to witness the way they made instant noodle, an extremely popular ingredient in the country, then, return to the ship for lunch.

In the afternoon, continue your trip by cruising on Mekong River to a wild area before arriving at Phuoc Hau pagoda. Enjoy the traditional architecture and visit a local village to find out their handicraft arts.

Day 07 BEN TRE (B/L/D)

On this day, we will move through a channel lined with mangroves to visit a local coconut candy factory. Explore how this famous candy is made and then visit beautiful tropical orchards. After that, you will experience riding on a horse cart, and it takes about 15 minutes to travel to a pier. Here, you can board a small boat (two guests maximum) for a trip through small inlet with Nipah palm on the side before returning to the ship

In the evening, time for you to join in our Farewell dinner with excellent, unique meal while cruising to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 08 SAIGON - DISEMBARKATION (B)

Say goodbye to the ship crew and the ship after breakfast. Disembarkation from Mekong Princess, you can choose either head to your hotel or Tan Son Nhat international airport.

Day 01 PHNOM PENH EMBARKATION (L/D)

In the afternoon, board the RV Mekong Princess to begin our exciting trip along “Mighty Mekong”. Lunch is served while the cruise takes you through the intersection of three rivers, leaving Phnom Penh behind. On the way, you will travel to Cambodia and encounter numerous scenic pastures. Enjoy the peaceful afternoon while we cruise downstream. Afterward, Mekong Princess will be anchored at sunset and it is time for your to enjoy traditional Khmer Welcome Meal.

Day 02 BORDER CROSSING - HONG NGU - GIENG ISLAND (B/L/D)

In the morning, the RV Mekong Princess will take you to cross the border of Vietnam. You can observe the transition from region to another one, from dry land to vast rice field paddies.

Even though this place is in a remote area and local people only meet a few tourist in recent years. They will undoubtedly a little bit curious at the travelers, but also show friendly attitudes towards those who eager to learn their rich culture and customs.

While in the land, we will have a chance to visit a temple dedicated to a unique religion called Hoa Hao. As a result, this will be a great chance to explore the special custom in the village. Return to the ship by a riverboat and enjoy your lunch.

In the afternoon, the local riverboat will take us to Gieng Island. You will venture around the land to find out how the traditional sampan boats are made. It is also possible to visit local duck farms after a short stroll and cross monkey bridges which reflect the architecture in the region and tropical orchards.

Then, time to be transferred by Xe Loi (a type of unique motorized trishaw) to visit local ancient Catholic Church built nearly 200 years ago.

Then, return to the ship at sunset and enjoy dinner on the cruise.

Day 03 CAI BE - CHO GAO CANAL (B/L/D)

This morning, we will travel by local sampans, crossing the mangroves and Nipah Palms, to witness backwater and beautiful coconut plantations. Visit a coconut candy factory to find out how this famous product is made before venturing through the village. Stop at an exotic tropical fruit orchard and taste the incredible fresh tropical fruit in the region. 

Return to the cruise in the morning and we will have a luncheon.

In the afternoon, the ship continues to pass through another fantastic man-made product, the bustling Cho Gao Canal. Contemplate this 21-kilometer long waterway, then we travel back to Saigon River.

By dawn, our Mekong Princess will take you on the dreamy Saigon River while watching the sparkling city on shore. 

Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese dinner onboard while we transfer you to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 04 HO CHI MINH CITY DISEMBARKATION (B)

MEKONG PRINCESS CRUISE POLICY

1. Transfers & Joining

Meeting point for checking - in Mekong Princess, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam:

The lobby of Park Hyatt Saigon hotel. No.2 Lam Son Square District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Meeting point for checking-in Mekong Princess, Phnom Penh, Cambodia:

Titanic Restaurant, Phnom Penh.

(Note: A hospitality desk will be arranged at the restaurant entrance)

2. Deposit

The deposit equivalent to 30% of the total price shall be paid at the time of booking;

The remaining fee equivalent to 70% of the total price shall be paid at least 125 days before the departure.

* Certain special offers may require higher non-refundable deposits. These will be advised to you at the time of booking.

3. Cancellation by Customer

If you want to cancel your booking, you must inform us via fax or email. The followings cancellation charges will be applied:

More than 125 days prior to the departure: US $400 each passenger which is non-refundable.

Between 124 days and 95 days prior to the departure: 50% of the total price.

Within 94 days prior to the departure, even when the passengers absent during the voyage: 100% of the total price.

We may cancel the reservation and booked tickets if other Passengers hire the whole vessel, even that the Passengers have made full payment or non-payment or paid deposit only, and we shall refund such payments. Provided that we must notify you at least ninety 85 days prior to the departure;

* In the event of cancellations, wire fees and credit card commissions will be deducted when calculating refunds.

4. Children Price

Children under 6 years old sharing the same bed with her/his parent: The child receives 80% reduction from adult price.

Children from 6 years old up to 12 years old receives 30% reduction from adult price.

Children from 12 years old up will be fully charged at the adult price.

Parents can only bring children under 6 years old on these occasions: Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year.

Children age will be counted to the departure day of voyage.

* Please note our cruises are not safe and suitable for young or small children under 6 years old as our ship have railings but no netting.

5. Departure Date Change Policy

The Passengers will not be allowed to change the travel agency right after we receive the final payment;

The final document will be issued after we receive the final payment and about thirty (30) days before the departure;

All the reservation can be canceled if the final payment is not be settled in due time and the reservations are guaranteed only when full payment is settled at least 125 days before the departure.
